Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province showcased its cultural and tourism products, specialty cuisines, intangible cultural heritage projects and performing arts at the 6th Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo, held in Suzhou city in the province on Sept 12-15.
It aimed to present the happiness of living in Taizhou and show the real appeal of the slow life in this waterside city.
The Taizhou Pavilion set up functional areas such as tourism enterprise stands and intangible cultural heritage project displays, showing the city's cultural and tourism characteristics.

By adopting movies as the design theme, the pavilion was filled with visual elements such as films, projectors and camera lenses. This recognized that Taizhou is one of favorite filming locations for film and TV work.
The pavilion highlighted Taizhou's rich cultural and tourism resources, such as Mei Lanfang's style of Peking Opera, the Taizhou early breakfast tea and the Qintong Boat Festival.
It also combined elegant Taizhou bonsai, Xinghua dough sculptures and other intangible cultural heritage projects with the city's culinary delicacies, enabling visitors to feel the charm of intangible cultural heritage while tasting great food.
