In a bid to boost its tourism, the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city – situated in East China's Jiangsu province – staged a promotional event in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province, on March 24-25.
The focus was to market the wide range of great tourism experiences on offer in the district, including travel products and attractions.

A press conference held there underscored Jiangyan's commitment to the high-quality development of its cultural and tourism sectors.
Those attending were shown promo videos, unveiling this year's upcoming Qintong Boat Festival. The event, set to take place from April to June, will stage an exciting array of events including boat races, culinary competitions and cultural tournaments.
The promotion also paved the way for more business to be conducted between Jiangyan district and Anhui province, with the Qinhu Lake Tourist Attraction Group from Taizhou signing commercial agreements with eight leading Hefei travel agencies.
What's more, Sanhe Ancient Town in Hefei city's Feixi county and Qintong Ancient Town in Jiangyan district established "friendly" relations – involving half-price discounts on their tickets from April to December.
Overall, the initiative aimed to expand tourism between the two regions. As such, it is seen as offering many more opportunities for travelers and locals alike.
