Some say the best braised mutton is at Miaojiadi, in Xilai town in Jingjiang city, administered by Taizhou. It looks reddish and oily and taste soft, crisp and matured.
Miaojiadi used to be known as the "hometown of mutton" and the mutton cooked with ancestral skills there still attracts a great number of delicacy seekers.
