The history of Dalun mutton from the Jiangyan district can be traced back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The tender meat features a low fat and cholesterol taste preparation unique.

The full-bodied Dalun mutton soup contains both matured but not greasy lean meat. It also has sheep sweetbread with a unique taste.
