Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province will add a large park in mid-October – called the Xindong Sports Park – providing a diverse range of facilities for different age groups.
Set on land covering about 47,000 square meters, the park is situated in Hailing district – on the east side of Jindong Road, on the south side of Qianjin River and on west side of Jingtai Road.
The designers have set aside areas for fitness trails, second-generation intelligent fitness, strength training and elderly leisure fitness, among other things.

One highlight is the 1.6 kilometer-long, three-color synthetic surface fitness trail. Its 3-meter width can meet the needs of folks walking and running at the same time.
At present, the installation of streetlights and riverside fences is underway. The park will then begin its greening and the installation of fitness equipment.
The new park is 1 kilometer away from Donghuan Elevated Sports Park, with its total space exceeding the existing park by 10,000 sq m.
On completion, the Xindong Sports Park is expected to reduce the pressure on Donghuan Elevated Sports Park and make fitness more convenient for nearby residents.
