Jingjiang city is adjacent to the Yangtze River and near the ocean. Situated along the north bank in the center of the "golden waterway" from Shanghai to Nanjing – capital of Jiangsu – it is located on the opposite side of the Yangtze River from the cities of Suzhou, Wuxi and Changzhou in Jiangsu.
