The company is the first local shipyard in China to build a 10,000-metric-ton ship and the first private shipbuilder in the country with the ability to produce large liquefied natural gas dual-fuel ships.
It mainly builds large and medium-sized bulk carriers, oil tankers, container ships and various chemical vessels.
New Times Shipbuilding boasts one 500,000-ton dry dock, one 300,000-ton dry dock, and one 100,000-ton dry dock, as well as three large ship outfitting berths. It also possesses a complete set of supporting facilities, including an intelligent segmented manufacturing workshop and an intelligent assembly and welding workshop for large-diameter ship pipes.
Responding to the surge in demand fueled by the industry's green transformation, the company plans to invest 5 billion yuan ($686.41 million) in strengthening its production capabilities and the creation of an intelligent manufacturing project for new energy ships.
In October 2024, New Times Shipbuilding was recognized as one of the "Top 200 Private Enterprises in Jiangsu", with a revenue of 12.5 billion yuan in 2023.
