Jingjiang Port operated by Shenzhen International Holdings Ltd, located in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Taizhou, welcomed the Panamanian-flagged vessel ACE WIN, which carried 45,800 metric tons of coal.

This marked the port's first foreign trade cargo ship to dock since it was granted the certification to open to the international community.

The 189-meter-long vessel, departing from a Russian port, smoothly moored at Jingjiang Port. Its cargo was efficiently unloaded by three automated machines at the wharf and was then transported to a steel-structured greenhouse.

"Entirely automated and intelligent, the unloading process is expected to be completed in approximately 18 hours," said Zhang Weifang, deputy manager of the SZI Jingjiang Port's scheduling and operation department.

Invested at 2.28 billion yuan ($314.19 million), SZI Jingjiang Port officially opened and commenced operations in 2024.

With two main berths for vessels of 100,000 tonnes each (with hydraulic structure for vessels of 150,000 tonnes) and five lakeside inland berths for vessels of 1,000 tonnes each (with hydraulic structure for vessels of 3,000 tonnes), the SZI Jingjiang Port occupies 1,090 meters of the shoreline. It has an annual throughput of 45 million tonnes when fully completed.

It primarily handles commodities such as coal, petroleum coke, ore, and construction materials, capable of accommodating 50,000-tonne-class vessels for continuous berthing and 100,000-tonne-class vessels for unloading or berthing during strong tides.
