The Mogan Mountain International Tourist Resort in Deqing county, Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, is becoming a popular location for outdoor sports events.

It was recently announced that the Ultra-Trail Mogan by UTMB will take place at the resort from April 10 to 12, 2026. Within just 1.5 hours of opening, over 10,000 registrations were received.

UTMB, or Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc, is a premier global trail-running race. Its first-ever collaboration with the Mogan Mountain resort, a region historically famed for its summer retreats, is a testament to the resort’s popularity as an outdoor sports venue.

In recent years, the region hosted notable events like Kailas Mogan Mountain Running Race, Spartan Warriors Race Mogan Mountain Station, and Salomon Elite Journey, enriching its event offerings and creating a vibrant new landscape for outdoor sports enthusiasts.

The 2026 event calendar for the Mogan Mountain resort is packed, featuring the international Ultra-Trail Mogan by UTMB, the long-standing Kailas race, the challenging Spartan race, and the Yunjian Huajing Trail Run.

Since last year, the resort has hosted over 20 branded events, drawing more than 50,000 participants from over 50 countries and regions.

These events have become integral to the area, with many, like the Kailas Mogan Mountain Running Race, experiencing significant growth. The race attracted 11,000 participants this year, up from 800 in its 2017 debut, setting records and establishing itself as a benchmark in mountain sports.
