An AI promotion for the 2021 Sino-Russian digital economy demonstration project was held on September 23.
The activity was organized by the China Association for Science and Technology and Federation of Russian Scientific Engineering Associations and was co-hosted by the National Communication Center for Science and Technology, CAST, Skolkovo Innovation Center, Angel 100 and Yousa youth service center.
Industrial experts and representatives of investment institutions taking part in the promotion activity included Liu Xiaoying, director of the AI investment department of Angel 100 and founding partner of Eagles Fund, Wan Song, director of the investment department of Angel 100 and founding partner of Red Star and Creative Industry Entrepreneurship Investment Fund and Liu Xin, deputy director of education investment department of Angel 100, president of MBDF International Group and founding partner of MAX Innovation Capital. They had an in-depth discussion on the development prospects and R&D capability of key technologies of enterprises involved in the roadshow.
The activity included representatives from two Russian AI technological enterprises, Sciberia and Just AI, and two Chinese AI enterprises, SiG Real Tech and SoundAI Technology Co. Sciberia uses machine learning techniques for neural networks to develop RIS intelligent for radiological analysis of medical images. Just AI independently develops SAAS platforms to understand natural language.
The key product of SiG Real Tech is a UBI service that is a customized guarding service based on analyzing driver behavior data. The representative product of SoundAI Technology Co is SoundAI Azero, an artificial intelligence development frame that integrates with sound processing, image identification, language understanding and many other services, which can provide man-machine interaction and intelligent services in medical treatment, home, office and more than 20 scenes.
In June 2019, the leaders of China and Russia jointly announced that the China-Russia year of scientific and technological innovation will be held in 2020 and 2021. To carry out their consensus, CAST and the Federation of Russian Scientific Engineering Associations signed a memorandum of understanding at the 24th regular meeting between the Chinese and Russian heads of government.
CAST will carry out a series of activities, such as the Sino-Russian digital economy demonstration project. In 2021, it will hold more than 10 activities themed on digital economy and relevant fields in order to push forward transformation, technology transfer and industrial cooperation between the two countries’ associations, universities and enterprises, boosting their technological innovation and cooperation to gain more achievements and deepen the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for the new era.
