Biocytogen's animal center in the Linjiang New Area of Haimen district, Nantong, Jiangsu province, has been consistently embracing innovation in recent years, garnering global recognition for its products.

As a biotechnology company, Biocytogen began work on its industrial cluster layout in the Yangtze River Delta region in 2014. The Linjiang New Area extended invitations to companies to set up operations in the area, offering support such as a 10-year rent-free period for 15,000 square meters and a five-year interest-free loan of 20 million yuan ($2.75 million).

In addition to policy support, when discussing the reasons for establishing the animal center in the Linjiang New Area, Biocytogen's deputy director of the general affairs department, Xue Qian, said, "The strategic location of the Linjiang New Area, its convenient transportation coupled with a favorable business environment and the industrial planning concept for biopharmaceuticals led us to ultimately choose Linjiang."

‌In 2016, Biocytogen made the decision to expand into overseas markets. It adhered to 45 international standards after establishing the Biocytogen Animal Center and surpassed the international benchmark of 19 standards. Xue Qian explained, "By maintaining such high standards and requirements, we have successfully entered the international market."

By the end of 2023, Biocytogen's mice had been distributed to over 20 countries and regions worldwide and have been successfully used in over 3,000 drug evaluation projects for more than 500 clients.
