Jiaxing in Zhejiang province is accelerating the development of an integrated transport network to better link transportation infrastructure with industrial growth.

On Oct 21, work continued on the access-road project at Jiaxingnan Railway Station. Cargo operations at Jiaxing Nanhu Airport and construction at YTO Skyhub, YTO's air cargo hub in Jiaxing, are also progressing.

Jiaxing Nanhu Airport has opened five international cargo routes linking Jiaxing with Dhaka, Budapest, Los Angeles, Luxembourg, and Chicago. In 2025, Jiaxing Port handled 4.26 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), up 15 percent year-on-year. Sea-river intermodal container traffic reached 1.37 million TEUs, an increase of 21.82 percent.

The city is also developing industries around four key economic hubs focused on aviation, seaports, railways, and inland waterways. Once operational, the first phase of a river-sea intermodal hub in Taozhuang town, Jiashan county, will allow inland vessels of up to 1,000 metric tons to berth directly. The hub is expected to handle 1.4 million tons of cargo this year. Shanghai Qiangyi Fastener has also invested 500 million yuan ($74.95 million) in an auto parts project in Taozhuang.

The airport's cargo network is helping sweater businesses in Honghe town, Xiuzhou district, reach overseas markets. In the first half of the year, Jiaxing's cross-border e-commerce exports totaled 36.85 billion yuan, up 80.5 percent year-on-year.
