Musonoi project
The Musonoi super-large copper-cobalt mine project is located in Kolwezi, the Democratic Republic of Congo. Construction on the project began at the end of 2019, with underground facilities beginning trial operation in November last year and the ore dressing system to be commissioned in June this year. All outstanding construction tasks are expected to be completed by the second quarter of next year.

Facing multiple challenges, including delayed supplies, equipment shortages, insufficient manpower and a harsh business environment, the Musonoi project team has shown its determination and courage. They have taken various measures to overcome difficulties and successfully set a new pace for the construction of Jinchuan's overseas projects. As a key overseas project of the group, the Musonoi project has received comprehensive support from the group, forming a management team that is led by Jinchuan, integrates Western and Chinese elements, and is closely focused on the development of the Musonoi copper-cobalt mine resources.
The project site
To ensure the smooth progress of the project, the Musonoi project team has collaborated with the University of Science and Technology Beijing, introducing Chinese technology and standards, optimizing plans based on geological structures, and continuously improving processes. During construction, the project team has made continuous innovations, implementing cost-effective measures such as improving technology and optimizing engineering structures to save significantly on investment.
They have also continuously improved key technologies to enhance operational efficiency, ensuring a balance between safety and efficiency, and supporting Jinchuan's high-quality development in overseas markets.
