The 2024 China Copper Processing Industry Annual Conference and the China (Tongling) High-Quality Development Conference for the Copper Industry opened in Tongling, Anhui province on Sept 25.
With the theme "New Quality Development, Copper Creating the Future," the conference focused on hot topics such as the macroeconomic situation, industry policies, industry development, technological innovation, market outlook, industry-education integration and industry self-discipline.

At the conference, representatives from Jinchuan Group Precision Copper Products Company shared experiences in overcoming challenges in producing super large-diameter copper-nickel alloy seamless pipes, attracting widespread attention within the industry. There are few domestic enterprises capable of producing super large-diameter copper-nickel alloy seamless pipes throughout the entire production process. Currently, the company can produce those with a maximum diameter of 508mm.

With the global trend towards large-scale and deep-sea marine engineering, as well as the shipbuilding industry transitioning to high tonnage and nuclear power, the demand for corrosion-resistant, highly efficient heat exchange, large-diameter and high-precision copper-nickel alloy pipes will continue to grow. The company aims to produce copper-nickel alloy pipes with a short process, high efficiency, low cost and high quality. It has successfully developed copper-nickel alloy seamless pipes with diameters of 419mm, 457mm and 508mm, with lengths exceeding 6,000mm, filling the domestic gap in this field.
