According to Li Lanlan, technical supervisor of Jinchuan Jinke Resource Recycling Technology, in order to realize the recycling and utilization of waste lithium-ion batteries, the company has focused on a series of technical difficulties, including the precise disassembly and crushing of batteries, fine sorting, and efficient separation of pure positive and negative electrode black powder.
As a result, the company has now developed high-value utilization technology for nickel, cobalt, and lithium resources in positive and negative electrode black powder, as well as a pre-treatment and wet treatment recycling process, promoting the sustainable development of the national new energy vehicle industry.
Going forward, Jinchuan Jinke Resource Recycling Technology is expected to build a complete waste lithium battery recycling system, in a bid to increase the processing capacity of waste lithium batteries to 125,000 tons.

Over the years, Jinchuan Jinke Resource Recycling Technology has obtained 25 invention patents and authorized 5 invention patents in the field of battery recycling. It has won the National Innovative Enterprise Award for Power Battery Recycling and Recycling Technology from 2018 to 2019; and its technological achievements in battery recycling won the second prize of the 2022 Science and Technology Progress Award by the Gansu Metallurgical Nonferrous Industry Association. Its battery recycling technology has been awarded the title of "China's good technology".
