In 2023, Gansu province cultivated and identified 32 provincial-level smart factories and digital workshops, bringing the total to 74. The transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, such as petrochemicals, metallurgy, non-ferrous metals, coal, equipment manufacturing, building materials, and agricultural product processing, have been accelerated, promoting the high-end, intelligent, and green transformation of traditional manufacturing industries, allowing traditional industries to "sprout new shoots."
Jinchuan Group, as the leading State-owned enterprise in Gansu province, has contributed greatly in the application of intelligent technology.
The Mineral Processing Plant of Jinchuan Group has utilized 5G+, AI visual analysis, robotics, and intelligent algorithm technology at its production sites. In 2023, each process and system achieved high-load collaborative operations, with its processed ore volume increasing by 5.84 percent year-on-year.
"With a network, platform, and an intelligent brain, we have integrated various production data, ore processing processes, safety control systems, combining virtual simulation with actual scenarios, achieving 'integrated control' management," said Li Yang, deputy director of the Research and Technology Department in the Mineral Processing Plant.
From smart mines to smart factories and intelligent logistics, digital technology is rapidly being applied in various fields of industrial production in Gansu province. This year, Jinchuan Group will further promote digital transformation in its traditional industries, supporting the development of the local manufacturing industry.
