Jinchuan Group's No. 2 Mine Area has successfully conducted an experimental research project on the "5G+ Mine Truck" Remote Control System. Based on the recommended application scenarios in the underground mining industry guidelines, this project involves modifying mine trucks and installing various environmental sensing devices, forming a four-in-one detection system consisting of video, radar, laser, and audio.
The guidelines were jointly issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Natural Resources.
With the characteristics of "5G" communication, such as high bandwidth, wide coverage, high speed, and low latency, the project aims to remotely control underground mine trucks from the surface. Currently, the "5G+ Mine Truck" Remote Control System has achieved automated operation, allowing the remote control of three automatic trucks from one control room, enabling the entire process of loading, transporting, and unloading ore to be remotely controlled. This has increased labor productivity for workers.

In order to tackle the problems including low level of automation, high equipment failure rate, and high labor intensity for workers, Jinchuan Group Copper Co., Ltd. has launched the 5G+ 50,000-ton Copper Concentrate Intelligent Batching System Transformation Project, using technologies such as 3D scanning of the ore pile, unmanned operation of a 10-ton grab crane, and PLC variable frequency control to achieve unmanned and intelligent operations for unloading, dumping, and loading the concentrate.
The unloading trucks and the 10-ton grab crane can operate in three modes: manual operation, remote driving, and unmanned intelligent operation, with collision prevention capabilities. Currently, the equipment installation has been completed, and the remote intelligent feeding system is being debugged. After the project is completed, the automation, intelligence, and informatization levels of the equipment will be significantly improved, the labor intensity of workers will be reduced, providing strong support for industrial transformation and upgrading.
