Industrial waste such as fly ash and slag are indispensable in the production of autoclaved fly ash bricks.
Covering an area of 5,000 square meters, the building materials industrial park of Jinchuan Group Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. has adopted advanced intelligent control and real-time control technology of the central control room DCS system, implementing automatic control from batching, brick pressing, to packaging. There is no operator in the entire production line.

"Solid fly ash from coal-fired power generation is the main raw material for autoclaved fly ash bricks, accounting for 50% of the content. In addition, slag, calcium carbide sludge, and cement are added according to the proper ratio. The final product is formed through mixing, high-temperature and high-pressure pressing, and curing," said Gao Jirong, an employee of the building materials industrial park of Jinchuan Group Engineering and Construction.
"For a long time, no one would deal with the industrial waste such as fly ash and slag. However, now we can make good use out of them, " said Ma Pengyu, the head of the autoclaved fly ash bricks production line.
This is a true production process of "turning waste into treasure", which not only reasonably digests solid waste such as fly ash and slag in industrial production, but also reflects the green development concept of circular production. The produced bricks have been tested by Gansu Building Materials Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd., and all indicators such as compression resistance, bending resistance, frost resistance, and radioactive nuclide limit meet national standards, filling the gap in the production of Jinchang autoclaved fly ash bricks.
Now, this production line has the ability to produce 50 million autoclaved green bricks, 25 million autoclaved porous bricks, and 5 million autoclaved hollow blocks annually. With advantages such as light bulk density, small thermal conductivity, strong variety, and good quality stability, they are highly favored in the market.
