On Mar 29, Zou Zhilei, senior vice president of Huawei Techonologies Co., Ltd. and chairman of Huawei Coal Mine Team, visited Jinchuan Group to conduct discussions and exchanges on promoting the construction of "Smart Jinchuan". During the symposium, Wang Yongqian pointed out that Huawei has made many breakthroughs in the fields of artificial intelligence and industrial Internet, and expressed his gratitude for Huawei’s support in Jinchuan's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) digital planning and intelligent mine construction. Digital projects are a major concern of Jinchuan, as well as a crucial step in the company building a world-class enterprise. Accelerating the deep integration of new generation information and communication technology with various industries in Jinchuan is imperative. Based on the Huawei-Jinchuan joint innovation and operation centers, the two sides will further strengthen communication and resource sharing, promote cooperation intentions, gradually work toward changes in key production and management, create a number of technologically advanced digital projects with independent intellectual property rights, and build "Smart Jinchuan" as a demonstration project for the digital transformation of the nonferrous industry.

Zou Zhilei highlighted that artificial intelligence, represented by ChatGPT, is accelerating the integration and development process of the industrial Internet, which has far-reaching significance for enterprises in building new human-computer relationships, achieving real-time analysis and processing of various types of data, and building intelligent production decision-making systems. As a leading enterprise in the nonferrous metal industry, Jinchuan has a complete industrial chain of mining, beneficiation, metallurgy, chemicals, and deep processing, with rich and challenging digital application scenarios. Huawei will give full play to its advantages in information communication, artificial intelligence, and cloud services, in a bid to support Jinchuan in building a digital architecture model. Starting with engineering, Huawei will steadily and gradually promote the implementation of the "Smart Jinchuan" project. Both sides will deepen exchanges in talent exchange and training, and seize the opportunities brought by the rapid development of artificial intelligence. Taking the Huawei-Jinchuan joint innovation and operation centers as an important carrier, the two companies will accelerate the transformation of Jinchuan Group to digitalization and greening, and drive the intelligent development of nonferrous industry clusters.

During the meeting, Hu Gang, general manager of the Nonferrous Systems Department of Huawei Coal Mine Team, reported on the progress of cooperation between the two sides under the theme of "industrial Internet helps ‘Smart Jinchuan’". The person in charge of the Jinchuan Group Digital Center reported on the progress made in the work of the Huawei-Jinchuan joint innovation and operation centers.
