On Feb 16, Jinchuan Group's new 110KV output transmission line program of Dongdatan 300MW photovoltaic power generation project completed the installation of 37 towers, laying a solid foundation for the work throughout the year.
The Dongdatan 300MW photovoltaic power generation project of Jinchuan Group is invested and constructed by the Jinchuan Niedu Industrial Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 1.58 billion yuan (about $230 million). The project construction covers a 300MW photovoltaic power generation system, supporting grid-connection facilities and energy storage power stations, and has the advantages of high integration, intelligence and progressiveness. Upon completion, the project is expected to achieve an average annual power generation of 602 million kWh and an average annual power generation income of 185 million yuan.
This program has an increased 110KV line of 9.59 kilometers, including 8.26 kilometers of double-circuit overhead lines and 1.33 kilometers of single-circuit overhead lines. 37 new towers have been added - 31 being double-circuit and 6 being single-circuit. The transmission line had to go across farming lands, roads, railways and high-voltage overhead lines, which brought huge challenges to the construction.

Through the joint efforts of Jinchuan's people, in the middle of January 2023, the reinforcement binding and concrete pouring tasks of the tower foundations were completed. After the Chinese New Year holiday, 37 towers were successfully installed within 12 days.
The successful installation of the towers marks that the new 110KV transmission line project has entered the next stage, laying a solid foundation for the completion of the overhead line laying on schedule and the early realization of grid-connected power generation.
