Mine Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jinchuan Group Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd., achieved a monthly construction footage of more than 130 meters in its Musonoi Project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), setting a new record.

The construction team stepped up its COVID-19 prevention and control plans and strengthened coordination with Chinese suppliers in the purchase of production goods to ensure its construction schedule amid the raging pandemic.
In May, the project stakeholders asked the company to accelerate its construction pace and complete the building of the main ramp two months ahead of schedule, bringing challenges to its workers.
Through strengthening the supplies of air ventilation, water and electricity, optimizing the deployment of the labor force, and adhering to the implementation of all industrial criteria against multiple odds, the company attained a monthly construction footage of 130 meters.

The overall acceleration of construction has created favorable conditions for the formation of the Musoni Project’s production system.
