Kinsenda Copper Company of Metorex Limited, a subsidiary of Jinchuan Group Co Ltd, recently established its first comprehensive beneficiation laboratory, which has started small tests of grinding and flotation, in a bid to optimize various technical indicators in mineral processing and production.

Due to a lack of ore grinding machines and the outdated flotation equipment in its old laboratory, Kinsenda Cooper had to carry out grinding tests at external laboratories at a price.
Despite limited testing equipment, Kinsenda Copper made great efforts to explore the application of chemicals, optimize the flotation process, and conduct flotation tests of talc-containing copper ore. The test results significantly improved the recovery rate when they were applied to the field.

This year, to further optimize its technical indicators, Kinsenda Copper ordered a set of full-process mineral beneficiation equipment and established its laboratory.
With equipment for ore crushing, grinding, flotation, sample processing and particle analysis, the laboratory is able to conduct small-scale experiments of flotation, grinding parameter exploration and production index verification.
As a new starting point for upgrading the separation process and improving technical indicators, the laboratory is expected to assist Kinsenda Copper in stabilizing its production model, training technical talents, and providing technical services for Metorex’s other mining projects.
