Jing Yuhong is head of the electrolysis group of the second electrolysis plant at Jinchuan Group Copper Co Ltd, a Party member and a senior technician of the electrolytic refiner.
Born in September 1974, Jing holds an associate degree and has won a number of honorary titles, including technical expert of Gansu province, advanced worker and outstanding CPC member of Jinchuan Group. In 2015, he won the first place in the electrolytic refiner skills competition of Gansu province.
Since Jing started work in 1994, he has been engaged in wet electrolytic refining, participating in the completion of electrolysis II, III and IV systems, and carrying out provincial and ministerial level key projects, including the transformation of copper electrolysis large plates, technological equipment upgrading of the copper electrolysis II system, and research on ultra-pure cathode copper production technology. He also summed up an advanced operation method of copper hydro electrolysis with high impurity and at a high current density.
In 2021, Jing participated in a technical project on permanent stainless steel cathode electrolysis and put forward 56 process optimization and equipment improvement plans covering electrolyte temperature, single cell circulation volume to the filtration quality of filter presses, and maintenance of special cranes. After his three-month research on technical parameters and adjusting proportions of raw material additives, cathode copper’s short-circuit rate fell from 4 percent to 0.3 percent, and its processing cost was lowered by more than 30 yuan per metric ton.
Jing’s research on the stable quality improvement of high-purity cathode copper won the first prize of Jinchuan Group’s QC achievement awards. Four research achievements he initiated, such as a simple device for oxide layer removal on an electrolytic cell’s conductive plate and a device for anode plate position correction, obtained national patents.
