East China's Jiangsu province recently launched 71 boutique spring rural tourism and leisure agriculture routes, with three from Taizhou city included.

The first route invites people to stroll in the Colorful He'an Scenic Area, located in Huagang town, Hailing district of Taizhou, and to check out ancient towns, water and fields.

This route starts from the Lizhong Water Forest Scenic Area to Shagou Ancient Town and then onto He'an, Vanilla Bay Lavender Theme Manor and to Qintong Ancient Town.

It allows visitors to explore the beauty of ancient architecture and feel the charm of Taizhou, a watery region.

The second route is an ecological tour that enables people to get out and fully appreciate the flowers in the countryside.

First, visitors can head to the Qianduo Cole Flower Scenic Area to appreciate the dreamlike cole flowers, then go to quiet Xiaoyang village to experience farming, ride horses and try out some archery.

Finally, they can go to the Huaqi Yunli scenic area and onto Vanilla Bay Lavender Theme Manor to view the romantic flowers.

The last route is a journey that explores Red culture, including locations such as the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy Birthplace Memorial Hall, Taizhou Naval Ship Culture Park, the Cai Family Courtyard, the Red Dongjin Memorial Hall, the Former Residence of Liu Guojun (1887-1978), a local outstanding patriotic industrialist, and Xuzhou village.
