Spring is the most beautiful season in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province and the city has rolled out nearly 40 key cultural and tourism activities to spur tourism spending.
One featured program is the 2025 Xinghua Qianduo Cole Flower Cultural and Tourism Consumption Promotion Season, set to run from mid to late March.
As a big part of it, the vividly colored cole flower field there is set to showcase its alluring charms from a multitude of different angles.
Elsewhere, the much-anticipated Qintong Boat Festival will start in early April in Qinhu Lake National Wetland Park, staging a series of thrilling boat racing activities.
Adding to the fun, a rural tourism season will kick off in the city's Jiangyan district from mid-April, with over 100 sellers set to bring their special agricultural products and cultural and creative products.
Taizhou is the ancestral home of Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang (1894-1961). Based on the first group of 40 cultural landmarks related to Mei in Taizhou, the city will stage a raft of events in May to enable visitors to embark on a journey of appreciation of the art of the maestro.

In May and June, tourists will be intoxicated with the charms of the blooming lavender in the city's vanilla bay lavender scenic spot, with large fields of lavender flowers presenting a dreamy purple color.
During springtime, tourists can also experience sports events in the city to get their pulses racing. The Shuanghe scenic area in Jiangyan district, for example, will hold a dragon boat race to showcase the folk culture of Dragon Boat Festival.
