Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province held a cultural and tourism consumption and project cooperation promotion conference on Feb 28 in Shanghai.

During the event, the citizens of Shanghai were invited to experience the wonders of spring in Taizhou.

The promotion showcased the excellent cultural and tourism resources in Taizhou and activities including food tastings, handicraft exhibitions and cultural and creative displays, creating a lively atmosphere.

"I saw health products like coffee with a flavor of Mongolian milkvetch, a traditional Chinese herb, which are really special. There are still many things waiting for us to explore and experience in Taizhou," said Bao Hailu, a Shanghai resident.

During this year's Spring Festival holiday, Shanghai was the biggest market for out of province tourists in Taizhou, with visitors from Shanghai accounting for about 30 percent of the total influx of out of province tourists.

For this spring, Taizhou will launch nearly 40 cultural and tourism activities, offering very special experiences such as intangible cultural heritage boat tours, hiking, fruit picking and sports events.

In addition, 19 projects were signed during the promotion, including 10 cultural and tourism industry projects, five tourism cooperation projects and four media cooperation projects.
