Zhejiang, an economic powerhouse in East China, announced strategies on Dec 23 to boost growth through 2025, focusing on foreign trade, private investment, and business environment reforms.

Zhejiang aims to stabilize trade by strengthening ties with Europe, North America, and Japan while expanding into ASEAN, Africa, and Latin America.

The province will support 100 major trade exhibitions and send 1,000 delegations abroad. Structural reforms include promoting green trade and new business models, with enhanced financial support and policies to aid exporters.

In 2024, Zhejiang attracted 318.9 billion yuan ($43.69 billion) in private capital across 128 projects. The province will offer over 100 new projects in 2025, encouraging private participation in infrastructure like nuclear power, wind energy, and railways.

Plans include enhanced corporate credit systems and streamlined solutions for enterprise issues under the "Zhejiang Provincial Business Environment Optimization Ordinance".
