The No 81022 sea-rail transport train departed from Yongkangdong Railway Station in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on Sept 4. This marks the 1,000th sea-rail train since the opening of the station in June 2021.

The train, loaded with 100 TEUs of hardware specialty products such as thermos cups, hardware tools, and leisure goods, headed to Ningbo Zhoushan Port, where its cargo will be shipped to Europe and North America.

In recent years, with the industrial upgrading of Yongkang, a county-level city in Jinhua known as the "World Hardware Capital", demand for its hardware products has been increasing among overseas customers, leading to rapid annual growth in export goods.

Yongkangdong Railway Station and Yongkang Lugang International Logistics Co have joined forces to formulate scientific operation plans for the sea-rail trains, providing enterprises with a "one-stop" transportation service.

The Yongkangdong Railway Station to Ningbo Zhoushan Port route has achieved a "point-to-point" container transportation model in which it takes no more than 8 hours for goods to be delivered, significantly enhancing transportation efficiency.

To date, Yongkangdong Railway Station has sent a total of 106,600 TEUs of foreign trade containers through sea-rail intermodal transportation, with goods valued at $3.2 billion.
