The Flying Car Traffic Innovation Camp Construction Exchange Meeting took place at Jiaxing South Station on April 23.

The latest flying car model was displayed at the event. With eight rotor blades on top, a multifunctional cabin in the middle, and a chassis below, it resembled something from a sci-fi movie.

Li Duxiao, a former teacher, experienced the thrill of being a pilot for the first time. e was impressed by the comfortable seating and ample legroom.

EHang, a world-leading urban air traffic technology company, presented the EH216-S unmanned electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft — the world's first certified model for manned flight. It serves various purposes, including passenger transport, aerial sightseeing, and medical emergency response.

EHang's aircraft requires no pilot for vertical takeoff or landing, making it ideal for short-distance connections. Its electric, eco-friendly design and compact size promise flexibility for urban travel. It has a range of 30 kilometers, or around 25 minutes of flight-time.

Jiaxing's Flying Car Traffic Innovation Camp plans to introduce transfers between aerial and ground transportation at the Jiaxing South Station. Passengers will be able to switch from ground vehicles to flying cars and back, ensuring convenient intermodal transit.

The low-altitude economy represents a promising frontier, and Jiaxing is actively exploring applications such as emergency blood transport, drone delivery, and unmanned vehicle express services.
