Fokan Tech, an optoelectronics enterprise based in Shanghai, recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area, or NETDA, to build a R&D and production base.
With a combined investment of 500 million yuan ($69.46 million), the 39-mu (2.6-hectare) base is expected to generate 500 million yuan in sales revenue and pay taxes worth 30 million yuan per year after being put into operation.
Possessing a technical team consisting of experts in advanced precision optics, AI and vision algorithm, and image processing chip design, Fokan Tech has developed the world's first 1 billion-pixel intelligent cloud camera for civic use and 2.4 billion-pixel multi-source sensing photoelectric device for military use. These products have been widely used in drones and unmanned vessels.
