3 NETDA businesses receive national high-tech status

Three enterprises in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone, or NETDA, were recently recognized as national high-tech companies.

Founded in 2015, BTC Pharm is a DAST fine chemicals manufacturer with a complete industrial chain that specializes in the development and production of fluorinated reagent and fluorine-containing products.

Set up by three PhD graduates from Stanford University, Berkeley University and Tsinghua University in 2014, WingComm is devoted to the industrialization of ultra-high speed optical interconnect integrated circuits and has developed and produced electronic chips widely applied in wireless stations and supercomputers. The company has applied for more than 100 patents, 21 of which have been approved.

Synercare, the last of the three companies, is committed to the development and manufacturing of guar gum. With an annual production of 6,000 metric tons of guar gum, it markets its product both at home and abroad and has succeeded in applying for multiple patents in China and two in the EU.

Local authorities will continue supporting innovation among enterprises in a bid to achieve higher-quality development and higher-level opening up.
