Nantong in Jiangsu province recently held a seminar to promote local enterprises' green transformation and sustainable development.

During the event, officials from the municipal bureau of industry and information provided insights into policies regarding equipment upgrades in the industrial sector, the establishment of green manufacturing systems, and the application process for green technological innovation projects, offering guidance for enterprises looking to transition towards greener practices.

In the segment dedicated to exchanging experiences among enterprises, participants discussed the challenges and solutions within green energy conservation efforts.

"We are focusing on green materials and technological innovations, increasing the proportion of zero-carbon, low-carbon, and recycled materials used. We also develop green and sustainable textile products, collaborating with suppliers and customers to enhance the application of green products throughout the industry's value chain, creating a more sustainable value chain," said Gu Xuefeng, the safety director of Jiangsu Dasheng Group.

Currently, Nantong has nurtured 34 nationally recognized green factories and four nationally recognized green supply chain management enterprises.

A representative from the municipal bureau of industry and information emphasized that companies should reduce energy consumption, decrease carbon emissions, and enhance production efficiency and economic benefits through various means such as technological innovation, optimized management, and improved systems.

They also highlighted the importance of exploring innovative applications in new energy, energy-saving technologies, and intelligent management to promote the widespread adoption of green and low-carbon technologies.
