Nantong Overseas Chinese Library unveiled its bookcrossing station in Lyngby, Denmark, on March 15 with the Chinese ambassador to Denmark present.
Lyngby is the most concentrated area of overseas Chinese in Denmark. This time, the Chinese school in Lyngby cooperated with the Nantong Overseas Chinese Library to establish the bookcrossing station, helping the school improve teaching efficiency and establish a local Chinese reading space.
Since 2021, the Overseas Chinese Library has initiated the construction of overseas bookcrossing stations, collecting various Chinese books and providing them for free to the bookcrossing stations abroad to assist overseas compatriots, second-generation and third-generation Chinese in reading and learning Chinese. So far, more than 130 bookcrossing stations have been established in over 70 countries.
On the same day, the Overseas Chinese Library also signed a cooperation agreement with the New Zealand International Student Association to establish a book station, which will provide reading services for Chinese students and overseas Chinese of all ages in New Zealand, enabling Chinese culture to be better spread globally.
