Rudong county's coastline, stretching 86 kilometers, is dotted with white wind turbines that collectively generate over 30 million kilowatt-hours of electricity daily. Meanwhile, on Yangguang Island, six LNG storage tanks produce over 30 million cubic meters of natural gas each day.

Currently, the total installed capacity for wind power in the county exceeds 5.62 million kilowatts, with solar power capacity reaching 1.2 million kilowatts. During the peak summer period, the green electricity supply capability is expected to exceed 3 billion kilowatt-hours, enough to power approximately 1 million households for a year, according to Zhou Hua, chief engineer of the Rudong development and reform commission.

As of July 26, Jiangsu Xinneng Haili Offshore Wind Power located in Yangkou town has surpassed 70 million kilowatt-hours in monthly power generation. Founded in 2018, the company manages the Rudong H2# offshore wind power project, which has a total installed capacity of 350 MW. The wind farm began full-capacity operations in the end of 2021 and has generated around 600 million kilowatt-hours this year.

Since July 15, the PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Terminal has consistently supplied over 30 million cubic meters of gas daily, peaking at 39 million cubic meters. If all the gas was used for power generation, it could produce nearly 200 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.

Major energy infrastructure projects by Guoxin, GCL Huidong, and China Resources Gas are progressing steadily. Upon completion, Yangkou Port will export a maximum of 100 million cubic meters of natural gas daily, establishing it as the largest offshore clean energy supply base in East China.
