Thousands of collections were shipped by Li Changyu to the second phase of the Li Changyu Criminal Investigation Museum in Rugao, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Nov 17.
These collections are expected to systematically showcase the forensic science knowledge and the research results of cutting-edge criminal investigation technologies both at home and abroad.
Rugao native Li Changyu pioneered conviction with scientific evidence, which greatly improved the status of criminal forensic science in judicial circles. He is the United States' first state-level Chinese sheriff.

In 2016, Li donated his collected books and archival documents to Rugao to establish the first criminal investigation-themed museum in the world. Over the past seven years, the museum received nearly 3 million people from more than 50 countries.
The second phase of the museum highlights all disciplines involved in criminal investigation (forensic) science, the history of criminal investigation (forensic) science, and Li's contributions to the science.
More supporting facilities will be built to develop the museum into a platform for public education on criminal investigation and forensic science and exchanges in the international judicial system.
