A $100-million waste disposal facility was recently introduced to the Binhai new district in Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province.

The facility, which is funded by Jiangsu Electronic Technology Environmental Co Ltd, covers an area of 120 mu (8 hectares) and produces 100,000 metric tons of renewable resources per year.

Jiangsu Electronic Technology Environmental Co Ltd is a high-tech enterprise that specializes in waste recycling and environmental protection.

The processing assemblies of the company are powered by the internet of things, and are fully automated.

In addition, the company has achieved zero emissions of nitrogen, phosphorus, and heavy metal.

The introduction of the facility was made possible by the efforts of local authorities to attract projects.

The zone has since 2019 organized more than 30 online project meetings and over 40 promotion conferences, during which authorities introduced many key projects such as a 1-billion yuan ($144.99 million) manufacturing facility for fiberglass doors.

This year, local authorities aim to introduce more projects related to circular economy industrial chain and boost sustainable development in the zone.
