Hai'an makes efforts to boost industrial development
Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has in recent years been making efforts to boost industrial development.
One of the measures taken by the county is advancing the development of local enterprises.
For example, authorities this year dispatched chartered buses to transport 138 employees from Lueyang city in Shaanxi province to Hai'an to bolster the production capacity of enterprises.
Authorities have also strengthened digital transformation to increase the competitiveness of enterprises in the county.
At the factory of Checkpoint Electronic (Jiangsu) Co Ltd, the application of a manufacturing execution system, or MES, has helped the company to improve its production efficiency and reduce labor costs.
Located in the Hai'an economic development zone, Nantong Tongrun Auto Parts Co Ltd topped the world in 2022 with its sales of over 13 million pieces of car jacks by improving production technologies.
According to authorities, the county is planning to start the construction of 71 projects with a combined value of 28.8 billion yuan ($4.17 billion) this year.
Among the projects are 57 advanced manufacturing projects and 14 modern service projects.
