On June 23, the 2024 Grand Canal Cycling Series was launched at the Yazhou Modern Agricultural Park in Hai'an, drawing over 400 participants.

The race was divided into five categories, with routes showcasing the vibrant landscapes of Yazhou town.

Su Yuming, champion of the men's elite group, visited Hai'an for the first time. "The environment along the course is excellent. Despite the rain today, the air is quite fresh. Competing here is also a great way to relieve the pressures of work and life," he remarked.

The day before the race, Yazhou Modern Agricultural Park hosted a variety of cultural performances and set up numerous farm produce stalls. "Our goal in organizing this event is to explore the integration of sports and tourism. By showcasing the beautiful natural scenery and unique ecological value, we'd like to enhance Hai'an's visibility and reputation," said Ji Guanyu, deputy Party secretary of Yazhou town.
