The second-phase project of the Jiangsu Hai'an Bonded Logistics Center, which is affiliated with Hai'an Trade Logistics Group, was approved by Nantong Customs on Feb 21, local media reported.

The project features two two-tier frozen warehouses covering an area of 40,000 square meters and aiming to meet increasing market demand for cross-border cold-chain transportation.

According to authorities, the two frozen warehouses will further increase the utility of the Hai'an Bonded Logistics Center.

Since its establishment in 2016, the center has developed significantly and has been an important platform for boosting the opening up of the central region of Jiangsu province.

In 2022, the center's imports and exports were valued at $200 million. The value of goods entering and leaving the center was $380 million, with a freight volume of 20,000 metric tons.

That same year, Hai'an Trade Logistics Group signed an agreement with Sinotrans Limited to build a multi-transportation platform, which has bolstered the intelligent development of the center.
