Hai'an rolls out measures to boost construction industry
Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been focusing on the development of the construction industry in recent years, local media reported.
In 2022, the newly launched construction area in the county exceeded 200 million square meters, and the combined value of the newly signed construction contract was 126 billion yuan ($18.26 billion).
In addition, three enterprises in the county made the list of the top 50 enterprises in the province.
Authorities have also dispatched work teams to more than 20 provinces to attract investment, and the county has set up a special team to solve problems related to construction debt.
Last year, the team helped local enterprises repay over 6 billion yuan in debt.
Authorities have also teamed up with local courts to protect the lawful rights and interests of construction enterprises.
In addition, to further advance the development of the industry, the county has set up a work team and a financial service platform by teaming up with local banks to alleviate financial stress on local enterprises.
The platform has teamed up with 15 banking institutions, 21 core enterprises, and 97 suppliers.
