A special round of matchmaking activity on e-commerce supply and demand in the region's prepared food manufacturing sector was held on Aug 24 in Xinghua city, administered by Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province.
Xinghua is said to possess strong advantages in developing its ready-to-eat food industry, according to the event.
Boasting lots of farmland and various waterways and lakes, Xinghua is one of the top 10 commodity grain producers in China. Moreover, its annual output of freshwater products has been ranked first among inland county-level cities in the province for many consecutive years.
The matchmaking talks attracted the participation of leading e-commerce platform enterprises – such as JD, Taotian, Kuaishou and Yuanshiyun – as well as representatives of over 100 ready-to-eat dish manufacturers and catering enterprises in the province.
During the event, Yuanshiyun signed commercial agreements with the Xinghua Economic Development Zone and the green and health food industry alliance in Xinghua.
Suzhou Shiwan Meiwei Technology Co Ltd and Xinghua Huarong Food Co Ltd, Xinghua Jiahe Foods Co Ltd and Jiangsu Liming Food Group Co Ltd, also signed up to cooperative relationships.
