The rural logistics service network at the county, town and village levels in Xinghua city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – has been upgraded, becoming the main trading distribution system for its urban and rural products.
To date, the city has built three routes integrating transportation and postal routes, 26 rural logistics service stations in townships and 463 village-level rural logistics service points.
"Now, express deliveries can reach the doorsteps of villagers and urban and rural public transportation can directly reach the village," said Qian Hong, deputy chief of Zhongbao town.
Qian added that high-quality agricultural products in the town, like big shrimps and crabs, could be transported to the whole country through fast and convenient rural roads.
Elsewhere in Dongluo village in Qianduo town, its village secretary gave full credit to the revamped rural roads, making it possible for hordes of visitors to come and admire the cole flowers there.
During this year's cole flower tourism season, the village received an estimated 40,000 visitors.
