Jingjiang city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – is widely said to have made extensive progress in its rural road-building program, in the process connecting previously isolated areas.

The project, covering 110 kilometers and over 40 roads, is part of the city's completion of 550 rural roads spanning 1,155 km.

These agricultural roads have quite literally opened doors to prosperity, as seen in San'ai vllage's thriving strawberry industry.

The village, once overlooked due to its remote location, now boasts over 2,000 mu (133.33 hectares) of strawberry plantations, attracting growers and facilitating nationwide distribution.

The rural roads improvement program is widely said to have significantly enhanced the overall transportation network. With 550 rural roads supporting 46 urban and rural integration bus routes, Jingjiang has achieved a seamless "city through town in 30 minutes, town through village in 15 minutes" transportation circle.

To cater to personalized travel needs, the city has implemented public welfare policies – including free bus rides for the elderly, army personnel, high-level talent, people with disabilities and for students.

Special bus lines have been introduced for development zones, rural sightseeing, the disabled and universities.

The city has also focused on creating unique identities for its towns and roads, enhancing rural tourism experiences.
