A scenic area in Taizhou city has been included in this year's list of smart travel destinations in East China's Jiangsu province, the provincial department of culture and tourism announced recently.
The Qinhu Lake scenic area, which is in Taizhou's Jiangyan district, is the city's first entry on the list.

In recent years, the scenic area has been seizing the opportunity to develop internet plus tourism. It's been speeding up the pace of developing smart travel – better utilizing its resources, deepening industrial integration and upgrading its services through digital and smart technologies.
Visitors can search for information such as DIY travel routes, traffic navigation and location of public service facilities through its website, WeChat account and mini programs.
