The 17th Sensors and Transducers Conference of China took place in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province on June 10, featuring nearly 500 industry representatives.

Zhang Jian, deputy secretary general of the China Instrument and Control Society, said domestically produced components that are extremely sensitive, as well as the sensor industry as a whole, have made significant progress in recent years, and more academic exchanges and technological convergence are encouraged to improve the level of industrialization.

Reports on progress into the research of advanced sensing technology and controllable preparation of two-dimensional materials and their high-performance sensors were delivered by the Chinese Academy of Engineering's Jiang Zhuangde and the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Liu Yunqi.

Representatives attending the conference discussed hot topics like basic theory and simulation analysis of sensors as well as research about sensitive new materials and process technologies.

Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone promoted its talent policies to attract more high-caliber individuals and teams to settle there.

The Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone and the First Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation held a consultation on establishing a demonstration base dedicated to the research and development, industrialization, and commercialization of aerospace special sensing technology.
