Some 50 teachers and students from the Jiangsu Agri-animal Husbandry Vocational College paid a visit to leading food companies in the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone – located in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – on May 26.
The pupils visited a manufacturing plant operated by Susa Food Co Ltd to learn about whole-cycle processing – including raw material processing, disinfection, sterilization and packaging.

At the premises of Taizhou Tongshi Co Ltd, students visited the company's sterile cold filling production line, hot filling beverage production line and bottle cap production line. The achievements the company has made in its digital, intelligent and networking transformation were also explained to the visitors.
Elsewhere, at Jiangsu Compet Pet Food Products Co Ltd, a wide range of products were shown to the students, so they could know more about the pet food sector.
"During the visit, I learned how fast modern productivity is developing and that production efficiency has greatly improved," said student Jin Yan.
"I also learned about the urgent need for technical personnel at the companies, which pointed me in the right direction," Jin added.
