Jingjiang – the county-level city administered by Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – is partnering up with a British company in the field of airspace.
Zhang Changping, Party secretary of Jingjiang recently met with Peter Dilnot, Chief Operating Officer of Melrose Industries Plc and John Pritchard, President of GKN Aerospace, to deepen cooperation in the aerospace sector.
Melrose Industries Group, which controls the GKN Group, is a UK-listed global aerospace company known for its leading engine and structural components.

Zhang welcomed the visitors, emphasizing Jingjiang's status as an emerging port industrial city with a robust industrial base, particularly in aerospace, new metal materials and health.
He stressed the significance of the aviation manufacturing industry in Jingjiang, citing ongoing projects. These included GKN's investment in civil aircraft transparent parts production and the KAIFEI civil aerospace structural parts production and manufacturing joint venture project.
Zhang called for broader and deeper cooperation to further progress the aviation composite materials project and achieve mutual benefits.
Dilnot expressed his gratitude for Jingjiang's support and praised the city's strategic vision and perseverance in developing the aviation manufacturing industry.
He acknowledged Jingjiang's solid industrial foundation and favorable business environment, highlighting the company's commitment to deepening cooperation in the aviation manufacturing industry.
Dilnot emphasized the importance of Jingjiang as a strategic base for the aviation manufacturing industry in China, expressing a desire to expand production and enhance his enterprise's development.
He extended an invitation for Jingjiang representatives to visit their headquarters and collaborate further to bolster the aviation manufacturing industry in the city.
