The Jiangyan district of Taizhou city – in East China's Jiangsu province – has redoubled its efforts to assist resident businesses to expand markets and has rolled out a raft of policies to facilitate foreign trade.

Staff members at Jolywood (Taizhou) Solar Technology Co Ltd, based in Jiangyan Economic Development Zone in Taizhou city – in East China's Jiangsu province – are ramping up production as the company has received ample orders since it resumed work this year.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Jan 31 in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – for the start of construction there of 28 major projects, with a total investment of more than 10 billion yuan ($1.48 billion).

The Jiangyan Economic Development Zone held a conference on Jan 30 to attract investment and talent and at it announced 38 measures to boost its development.

The edible mushroom industry in Jiangyan Economic Development Zone has benefited over 4,000 villages and the local brand Sanshui Mushroom won national recognition in October.

A total of 11 enterprises based in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone or Jiangyan EDZ were recognized as provincial specialized and sophisticated small to medium-sized enterprises, or SMEs in 2022.

A new English portal for the city of Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province – www.etaizhou.gov.cn – was launched on Dec 27.
