Zhanjiang Guolian Aquatic Products Co Ltd saw a year-on-year increase of 3.87 percent in its output value in the first half of this year to 2.11 billion yuan ($308.23 million), due to its emphasis on both domestic and international markets.

Founded in 2001, the enterprise is currently the largest aquatic products and food enterprise in China, with full industrial chains of prawns, tilapia, crayfish, and deep sea cage aquaculture. It has developed into a transnational enterprise integrating growing seedlings, breeding aquatics, producing aquatic feed, aquaculture research, as well as food processing and trade.

The enterprise has recently entered its peak periods of production. According to Wang Zuozhou, vice president of Zhanjiang Guolian, the enterprise's average daily production of aquatic products has reached nearly 100 metric tons, half of which will be exported to foreign countries and regions.

It is estimated that the enterprise's production and sales volume in the second half of this year will rise to complete the annual output value target of 5 billion yuan, said Pan Shen, deputy director of the management of the Wuchuan Huayu Industrial Transfer Industrial Park.
