A variety of featured tourism and cultural products from Zhanjiang were displayed at the 2020 China (Guangdong) International Tourism Industry Expo (CITIE), which was held in Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong province, from Sept 11 to 13.
A total of 41 tourism and cultural creative enterprises from Zhanjiang attended the expo, while the total exhibition area spanned 180 square meters, which were both record highs.
With a theme of "I am going to Zhanjiang," the Zhanjiang exhibition hall comprehensively showcased the new image of the city's integrated development of culture and tourism.
Tourism resources and delicacies from Zhanjiang with local characteristics were displayed at the expo, along with featured cultural creative products and intangible cultural heritage performances, including Leizhou straw plaiting, Wuchuan puppet shows, and Suixi lion dances.
Agencies of more than 40 countries and regions in China, as well as delegations of over 20 domestic provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions took part in the exhibition at the expo. Industrial exchange activities were also carried out, in which invited experts and industrial representatives discussed new trends in the development of the cultural and tourism industries under normalized COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures.
